Vacancies
13 Ph.D. students were recruited in 2007, seven post-docs followed until spring 2009. Ph.D. students (“Early-stage Researchers”) are employed for the duration of 36 months; experienced researchers are employed for 24 months. Furthermore, we may be able to offer a short term fellowship later.
Candidates usually cannot apply for positions in their native country. They may have spent at most 12 out of the last 36 months in the host country before appointment. Applicants should be from member states or countries associated with the European Union (Turkey, Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland are associated countries). A percentage of applicants from third countries may be employed as well. Please read the PDF file with detailed eligibility criteria for more information.
All researchers will be employed by their respective host organisation under a full-time employment contract, including social security cover under the legislation in the country of appointment and additional allowances for training and career exploration.
Criteria for selection of researchers comprise: 1) experience in the field of research; 2) potential or recognised excellence; 3) impact/benefit of training to the candidate’s career; 4) scientific quality; 5) additional evaluation criteria (teaching, supervision, teamwork, knowledge transfer, management, public awareness activities); 6) mobility experience.
An equal opportunity policy is applied, in particular between men and women, to obtain gender equality among researchers recruited to the network.
