Supplemental file 1 - Movie S1. Electron tomography of a section of the assembly compartment of a TB71stop virus infected cell. The video shows an animation through a z-series of digital slices, reconstructed from a tilt series taken from a 500 nm thick section of a TBstop71 infected HFF 5 days postinfection. Note that the majority of TBstop71 virus particles is in a process of budding. The usage of enlarged vesicles as a multiple budding site for numerous capsids is even more obvious in the reconstructed video than on ultrathin sections. Note areas with high mass density such as membranes occur bright in the dark field STEM tomograms.
