Wissenschaftliche Schwerpunkte:

 

- Rolle von C-Peptid in der Atherogenese und im Rahmen der Restenosierung

- Pro-inflammatorische Wirkung von Resistin in entzündlichen Krankheitsprozessen

- Wirkung von Procoralan auf vaskuläre Zellen

- Telmisartan und seine anti-inflammatorische Wirkung

 

Methodische Schwerpunkte:

 

- Tiermodelle der Atherogense (Analyse der atherosklerotischen Läsion):

o in LDL-Rezeptor knock-out Mäusen

o in ApoE-defizienten Mäusen

 

Analysen am AortenbogenAnalysen an der AortenwurzelLipiddarstellung

 

- Untersuchungen an vaskulären Zellen:

o Chemotaxis und Zytokinexpression: CD4-Zellen und Monozyten

o Proliferation: glatte Gefäßmuskelzellen

 

- Vaskular-injury-Modell:

o C57BL/6-Mäuse

 

- Messung der endothelialen Funktion:

o FMD-Messung mittels Ultraschall
