Focus of Research

The main research topic is B-cell precursor actue lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL). In particular, our research is investigating the molecular mechanisems regulating leukemic cells proliferation and survival within their niches. Microenvironment, such as bone marrow and central nervous system, can contribute to chemoresistance and persistence of leumemia in different ways. Our research focuses in revealing signaling pathways involoved in ALL maintenance and identifying potential therapeutic targest using in vitro as well as in vivo pre-clinical models.
