The ITI regularly offers the opportunity to write medical doctoral theses as well as master /bachelor theses ( molecular medicine, biochemistry, biology and others) as part of its academic teaching assignment.

In addition to an interest in the topic, a full-time commitment of 6 - 9 months for the experimental phase is expected.

Candidates should have previous knowledge of immunology, physiology or biochemistry and an interest in entering the field of traumatology, intensive care medicine and immunology. Independence and commitment are essential to work on a challenging experimental topic.

In return, the ITI offers a sound insight into scientific work with a broad, established spectrum of methods. You will receive close supervision and guidance from the MTA team, the working group leaders and the institute director. This includes, for example, participation in our doctoral seminar, the working group meetings and the retreats of the entire institute. We also support you in publishing your results, for example at congresses, if you are particularly committed. We support medical students in applying for the doctoral programme "Experimental Medicine" after consultation and if they are particularly suitable.
