The section “Pathophysiology” investigates how damage-associated molecular patterns and immune and resident cells orchestrate the danger response after trauma, and how a diminished physiological inflammatory response impairs the transition into the repair phenotype. Using nerve and lung repair as model systems, we aim to identify therapeutic targets that restore homeostasis and promote regeneration.
