The tasks of the Department of Orthopaedics consist of research, teaching and outpatient treatment of orthopaedic diseases at the University of Ulm.

The Department of Orthopaedics covers the entire field of conservative and surgical orthopaedics, including special orthopaedic pain therapy as well as acute treatment and long-term care of paraplegic patients.

In order to provide efficient polyclinical work, various special consultation hours are operated in which the entire spectrum of orthopaedic diseases is treated by specialised specialists and senior physicians.
