The management of pancreatic diseases and the advancement of pancreatic surgery have a distinguished and longstanding tradition at the University Hospital Ulm. Over decades, pioneering surgical techniques and innovative therapeutic strategies have been developed, taught, and continuously refined within our institution.

The “Ulm School” has served as a center of excellence in surgical training, fostering generations of surgeons who have gone on to disseminate high standards of pancreatic care and to advance the field across the globe. It is our great pleasure to welcome you to this international symposium on pancreatic surgery and pancreatic cancer treatment in Ulm. This meeting brings together leading experts across generations and continents to share insights, discuss the current state of the art, and explore emerging developments in the field—while honoring the foundational contributions of our mentors and predecessors.
