Dear colleagues,
Pancreatic malignancies remain among the most complex cancers to treat. Significant advances have been made in multidisciplinary management of pancreatic cancers over the past two decades. These therapeutic refinements include surgical resection, which remains the cornerstone of potentially curative treatment.
Various surgical approaches, including the Triangle Operation, arterial divestment and vascular reconstruction techniques, have been introduced with the aim of enhancing local tumor control and improving long-term outcomes. Therefore, pancreatic surgeons must master these advanced techniques in order to contribute to improved patient outcome within multimodal treatment concepts.
This surgical workshop will focus on contemporary surgical strategies for the treatment of patients with pancreatic tumors. In addition to live surgeries demonstrating the above-mentioned techniques, participants will gain insight into their theoretical background and have the opportunity to interact with internationally recognized experts in the field.
